FTZ uses MarketingPlatform

FTZ Auto parts & Tools A/S is Denmark’s largest and strongest wholesale company in auto parts and tools with 51 departments in Denmark and the Faroe Islands, with more than 1.100 committed employees and a turnover of more than 2.3 billions of Danish kroners.

Email Marketing is an important part of FTZ’s sales force. Several times a week, FTZ sends newsletters to their customers which include regular weekly offers, information about events and invitations to various events.

“It is important for us to have a stable email marketing platform guaranteeing delivery of the weekly emails that our customers are expecting to receive”, explains Sandra Amtsbiller, marketing assistant at FTZ. “A newsletter with great offers that comes out weekly has become a habit for our customers throughout the country. That is why it is important that the newsletter arrives on time – and is delivered to the inbox and not caught in a spam filter”, continues Sandra. For this reason, in collaboration with FTZ, MarketingPlatform set up a subdomain, SPF and DKIM records could be set up correctly, and ensure much greater stability and delivery to the customers.

For FTZ, as with most other companies, GDPR is something that is taken very seriously. This was something that was taken into consideration when MarketingPlatform was chosen over another email marketing platform. “ It is extremely important to us that we know that we comply with the rules and that our data is safely stored on servers within the EU borders”, Sandra continues.
Another part of the MarketingPlatform system that Sandra highly appreciates is the user-friendliness and the Danish support. “It is very easy and quick for me to create many campaigns that we send. I use Preview feature in the platform extensively, and therefore it is quick and effective to send campaigns to my colleagues for approval. Moreover, it is very nice that the Danish support is only a telephone call away. I know that I can always call if I have a question about the use of the system”. At the time of writing, a large integration between FTZ and MarketingPlatform is being made, and it will enable data to be automatically synchronized back and forth so that, for example, customer status is automatically updated. “It is going to make my job much easier, and therefore I am very happy that it is possible to create this kind of integration”, says Sandra.

FTZ marketing team visited the MarketingPlatform headquarters in Vejen (Jutland, Southern Danmark) to talk about the start-up of the project, so that the employees could get an extensive training in how to make the most out of the system. The team learned how to create lists, edit contacts and create campaigns. “It was a very good learning experience for us, and it was important for us to get as many employees trained as possible, so that we can keep our email marketing efforts constantly running during, for example, a holiday”, concludes Sandra Amtsbiller.
